The best thing is to look in the Maplin catalogue for a low cost simple
mixer, which you can plug both outputs into.
If you don't need to hear both sounds at once, they have a very good
switching unit at around £10. (Code CN47B)
There are plenty of adaptors and adaptor leads to link (for instance)
the 3.5mm output from the CD headphone socket to the twin phono input of
the switcher. Then a twin phono lead can come out of the switch box and
into a "multimedia" speaker or an audio amplifier.
For practical purposes, you can treat a headphones output like the one
on the front of a CD drive as being electrically the same as a line
level output such as the one on the back of an Amiga.
So you have 3 leads:
CD to switch
Amiga to switch
Switch to amplifier
